At Butterfly Progressive Montessori Preschool we practice a progressive approach of Montessori by promoting acquisition of news skills through exploration and manipulation of classroom materials as per the traditional Montessori methods. In addition, we also believe in cultivating the whole child and the importance of creativity to promote growth. With this belief, we have blended in some flexibility to our Montessori curriculum. We regularly have the children participate in the decisions behind their work, such as coming up with the ideas for art activities. The directresses’ role in the classroom is to foster and satisfy the curious minds of the children in the areas of Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, Culture and Art.
